You can register for Arts 2 Heal programs in various ways:

Referral by GP or Mental Health Support Team: If you require support from your GP or mental health support team to tailor the support you need, they can refer you to Arts 2 Heal.
Social Prescribing Teams: We work closely with Blackburn with Darwen Social Prescribing Teams to ensure a holistic approach to well-being. They may recommend our programs based on your needs.

Many of our participants have enthusiastically shared their positive experiences to inspire others to join us. We can facilitate these discussions through social media or why not arrange to pop by and meet participants in action.

Our sessions primarily take place at our hub on 29 James St. Blackburn BB1 6BE. However, we frequently host community events, festivals, and pop-up workshops in various locations across the U.K. For precise project locations and updates, please follow our Instagram or Facebook page @Arts2Heal, or feel free to contact us for detailed information.
Thanks to the funding and donations we receive, we are able to offer these projects completely free of charge, including all materials, to support the most vulnerable members of our communities.
Typically, our community projects run for a duration of twelve weeks, with each session lasting approximately 2 hours.
Participants must be 18 years or older to participate in the community workshops. Individuals experiencing extreme social anxiety that prevents workshop attendance, as well as those going through severe episodes of self-harm and/or mental health issues, are not deemed suitable for our community projects.
We also offer workshops designed specifically for younger members, including Discovery level for the Arts Award.
For the most up-to-date information about these workshops, please visit our social media channels or contact us.
Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear that you wouldn't mind getting paint on. While aprons are available, if possible, we recommend bringing your own.
Participants are generally encouraged to take home their individually created artwork, unless it's intended for public display. Artwork created collaboratively within a group can be gifted to a member upon agreement with the other participants.
We value the privacy and consent of our participants. Please note that during our workshops, we may capture photographs or videos for sharing on our social media platforms and funders to celebrate the creative process and outcomes. Rest assured, we prioritise your comfort and respect your preferences.
If you have any concerns or would like to provide or withhold consent regarding the use of your images, please feel free to discuss this with our team at any time.
